Together in Remembrance: Val's Afternoon Tea for Michelle Raises Funds and Spirits

Val organized a truly delightful Afternoon Tea at the Crowne Plaza Liverpool Airport in loving memory of her sister, Michelle. The event brought together friends who cherished the opportunity to reconnect and share wonderful memories of Michelle, celebrating her life and the joy she brought to those around her. 💖

The atmosphere was filled with laughter and heartfelt stories, all while indulging in an impressive array of delicious cakes 🧁🍰 and pastries 🍪. Val’s dedication and thoughtfulness in planning this gathering were evident, as she created a warm and inviting space for everyone to come together. 🌟

In addition to the cherished memories shared, the event also raised an incredible £515 for CHA, showcasing Val’s commitment to making a positive impact in her sister’s honor. 🙌 Her efforts not only celebrated Michelle’s legacy but also brought the community together for a meaningful cause. Together, they made a difference while honoring a beloved sister and friend. 💕✨

Open day at Liverpool Heart and Chest hospital for people with learning disabilities.

The cardiac network ran an open day at Liverpool Heart and Chest hospital for people with learning disabilities – similar to the Alder Hey one but much quieter.
CHA have contributed to the 4 distraction bags – for AH, LHCH, MRI & RMCH.
Let the cardiac nurses know before your appointment if your child needs reasonable adjustments for their visit to hospital.

Funding the emergency wash kits

Huge thanks to Children’s Heart Association for funding the emergency wash kits for the adults with CHD – these will be shared between LHCH and MRI.
(We also have provided Costa vouchers to AH recently and lots of other bits and bobs to make life a bit easier).

In Memory of Michelle Johnston

Fondest memories of Michelle Johnston – a brave and beautiful lady whose smile brightened every room. Ian, Matt, Will and family are in my thoughts.

Christmas fun

Christmas fun

Over 100 of us had a wonderful afternoon at our Pizza with Elves party just before Christmas.

It is a fabulous time to make new friends and catch up with old ones too.  We had a mountain of presents courtesy of the Disney Store Manchester and the Hilton.

A big thank you to the staff at The Hilton Airport for dressing up as Elves and treating us so well.

US heart child raises money for us on holiday

US heart child raises money for us on holiday

Ilex is a young girl from Georgia, America who has a heart condition.

Whilst she was visiting her grandmother on the Wirral she asked if she could raise money for a local charity for children with heart conditions.  Her grandma found us and was delighted we were so close.

Ilex and the Mockbeggar Morris Dancers raised a wonderful £40 for us.  A huge thank you to them all.
