Christmas Party

14 December 2008 saw our annual Christmas Party at 01 Clinic Alder Hey hospital. This year’s party was full and we had to stop taking names over 2 weeks before and had a waiting list. Our party starts at 1.30pm till around 4pm. I had booked a children’s entertainer and was a little concerned when at 1.20pm he had not shown up. (Well when i say a little concerned – as those who were there I think will agree I was a bit more than a little nervous). Gill had a Christmas CD for emergency we could borrow and was trying to decide who coming was a teacher, as they may know some party games and could help us out (so be warned for the future come prepared just in case) . Thankfully just after 1.20pm he arrived and took about 10 mins for him to set up. I must say the children were being entertained and some of the adults joined in too.

The children must all have been very good this year as they had a very special visitor. Santa came and said hello and gave each child a present and guess what – they all got what they wanted. Santa must have got their lists or just known what they would want. My nephews are now 7 & 9 and don’t quite believe as they once use to but they did say to me they heard Santa on the roof and were sure they had seen him coming into the hospital – how great would that be if he really did come to visit all the children. Sure enough they were right, he did come and visit.

So children, be good and he might come again next year.

Val.
