Apologies if it seem like nothing has happened over the summer, that’s not been the case. The pressure you’ve generated through the petition, your letters to MPs and complaints to CMFT and NHS England have started to work.
There is significant pressure on NHS England to make a decision before the original deadline of Feb 2018. If this pressure works then the North-West will hopefully be able to move quickly to rebuild a service (wherever the main focus is based, we need a service to be up and running as soon as possible).
Therefore, we have been working with NHS England (the regional team who’ve attended NWACH focus group meetings), CMFT and the Liverpool hospitals (as well as the regional centres) to try and work out what the patient journey would be like – the “patient journey” is how we move from one part of the system to another.
The good news is that our clinicians and nurses are in these meetings and all of the hospitals are working together to make this work as quickly as possible so we can start the rebuilding process.
As soon as we know anything more concrete we’ll let you know, and will try and plan a Next Steps/NWACH meeting in the next month or so so we can catch up in person.
Thank you as ever for your support, and if you have any problems with the service please let us know – we do raise every issue and try and get response.
